
ABU DHABI POLYTECHNIC COMMEMORATES THE 50TH UAE NATIONAL DAY

Abu Dhabi Polytechnic celebrated the 50th UAE National Day with several activities, including student-led events, on its Abu Dhabi and Al Ain campuses. The celebrations reflected on the UAE’s achievements in the past 50 years and included a variety of heritage activities as well as events reflecting the spirit of the Union.
The official inauguration of the celebrations was held under the patronage of His Excellency Eng. Hussain Al Hammadi, Minister of Education, and Dr. Mubarak Al Shamsi, Director General of ACTVET. The audience enjoyed “Emirat Al-Ma’ali” epic as part of the national celebrations of the golden jubilee of the establishment of the UAE, organized by ACTVET. The event took place at the MBZ Educational Complex in Abu Dhabi in the presence of Dr. Ahmed Al Awar, Manager Director of IAT and Dr. Ali Al Naqbi, Director of ADPoly. The event was attended by students, parents, members of the community and a group of officials.
The celebration was an opportunity for all to express their love and loyalty to this land. That was the case with Mansour Al Bloushi, who spoke on behalf of his fellow students to reveal his pleasure and happiness to be present in praise of the spirit of unity with all expats and nationals that share nothing but appreciation for the United Arab Emirates.
After the inauguration, audience headed to ADPoly campus to see the heritage exhibition, and participate in cultural activities such as board games and falcon shows. The audience also treated themselves with traditional food that reflected the UAE’s heritage and culture.
